Sebago Inspections was founded by Tom Bickford.
Tom has been in and out of the trades and inspections since he was a youth, taking shop classes in middle school to renovating entire homes.
Tom also holds a masters in engineering and is both a technology person as well as a tools person. He's rebuilt engines and has a full woodshop waiting for whenever he finds some spare time.

Inspection Experience
Tom joined the world of home inspectors in 2026, but served for 5 years in the world of industrial inspections, including safety and health evaluations and consulting.
Renovating Experience
While never his full time occupation, Tom has completely renovated two homes that were totaled following house fires as well as one that had simply aged to the point of not being habitable.
Maintenance Experience
Since 1980, Tom has been the primary maintenance coordinator on their family's 400 acre farm in Vermont. Whether its a plumbing or roofing issue or a building needs a new foundation or drywall or solar, he's been elbows deep in the projects.
Additional Professional Experience
Tom's education includes a bachelor's from the University of Maine as well as a Master's of Engineering from the University of North Carolina and has taught at two of Maine's Community Colleges.

Certified Professional Inspector
Tom holds the Certified Professional Inspector rank from InterNACHI, America's largest Home Inspector organization.
Certified Roofing Inspector
Tom also holds the Certified Roof Inspector title from InterNACHI
Infrared Certified
When you need to see what can't be seen, Tom can use infrared (thermal) camera technology to find places that are either leaking air or have excess moisture.
